About

Raising six children has taught Marsha Snow a thing or two about parenting, and she loves sharing what she knows.

Mother, grandmother, lifelong learner, and author of Parenting: An Owner’s Manual.

Marsha Snow is an Arizona girl who was born and raised in Mesa. She grew up in a happy home, surrounded by both sets of grandparents, dozens of aunts and uncles, and plenty of cousins. Since her family never moved from her childhood home, she attended only one grade school, one junior high school, and one high school. One of Marsha’s childhood passions was the piano. She begged her parents for lessons even though they did not even own a piano. Once lessons finally began, Marsha’s teacher told her that those who do well on the piano practice for one hour every day. Thus, Marsha walked three houses down the street to her grandparents’ home every day to practice the piano for one hour.

Upon graduation from high school, Marsha left Mesa to attend college at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. While a freshman at BYU, she met and married her husband and embarked upon a new adventure of supporting him through one more year at BYU and four years of dental school in Portland, Oregon. The Snows settled in Mesa after dental school to raise six children. Because learning and studying is another of Marsha’s passions, she decided to finish at home what she had started at BYU forty-five years before. In 2015, Marsha earned a BGS degree from BYU with an emphasis in Family Life. Now a busy and contented grandmother of twenty-four, Marsha enjoys reading, completing stitchery and crochet projects, and making and eating cinnamon rolls. She also gives piano lessons to grandchildren and still enjoys practicing the piano almost every day!
